Jacklyn Uweh was born in the asparagus-wielding capital of the world, Stockton, California. She caught the acting bug in her first major role as a circus mime. It was as magical as it sounds.
During her time at UC Irvine, she became two degrees hotter with a B.A. in Film & Media Studies and Drama. She helped to found The Soulstice League, producing on-stage sketch comedy and videos for campuswide events.
After graduating, Jackie moved 53 miles to Los Angeles. Jackie proceeded to dive face first into the world of improv and sketch comedy, training at Second City Hollywood, UCB and The Groundlings. She's appeared in the premium sketch shows Live Rude Girls, 177Fox, Trump in Space and the inaugural Bob Curry Diversity Fellowship Showcase. Most recently, she completed a tour with Second City Theatricals and mounted her one-woman sketch show, I Dreamed A Dream. You can find her performing regularly with her improv teams Eightball and Strangers. Feel free to reach out to her, she promises not to talk in the third person!
