Adriana Inês Prieto Amarante, better known as Adriana Prieto, was a Brazilian actress born in Argentina. She was dubbed as the "Brazilian Greta Garbo" by a magazine of the time. She made a career in Brazilian cinema, winning several awards for her performances, such as Candango for Best Actress at the Brasília Festival, and the Air France Award. She died tragically after a car accident on Christmas Eve 1974, aged 24, when she was at the peak of her career.
